As I was making preparations to fly my Beechcraft Sundowner back to Taylor, the air traffic controller told me to hold short of runway 26, and wait for the incoming traffic. So I looked to see the traffic and it was two F-16's. One was making a low go round and the other a high go-round. It was quite the show. I then waited for a Cessna 172 to land and was granted clearance by the ATC. As I lifted off the ground and reached 500 feet AGL, ATC told me I was cleared to make my right turn to the north and contact the departure tower. I thought that is odd I haven’t even reached mid field? So I looked back behind me and the F-16's had already made it back around and we right on my tail. Wow that was fun! Ok so i did some research the F-16 can fly a top speed of 1,400 miles per hour. My Sundowner is 140-150 miles per hour with a tail wind!!
