The 1935 Project

For the past 4.5 years now we have been working on our home that was constructed in 1935. It has been fun but a lot of work, we still are working on the exterior, new fence, paint, and the list never stops.
Anyways the picture is of one of the door knobs from inside the house. I was looking at the door knob wondering if in 73 years, the doors that we install in the homes that we are building will still work. I doubt it.

Crank it up and enjoy the 90’s!!

This weekend we had a great trip. We went to the Valley for a weekend without the kids! We ended up driving, so on our way back we decided to go through Globe. And we stopped and had a photo shoot. Since I am infatuated with old buildings I could not resist putting some more building pictures.

Music disclaimer, Maegan and I have been thinking of some old 90’s songs that used to be popular and we made a list of some of our favorite songs. If you don’t know them you are deprived of the 90’s culture that just rocks. And music hasn’t been the same since for the good or the bad, u tell us?

This past couple weeks, Maegan has potty trained Branson. He turned 2 in March, and he has been doing great. During nursery last week, I went to take him to the bathroom and he was gone. I asked the nursery teacher where he went. She said, he asked them to take him to the bathroom! Not too bad for a 2 year old.

A lot of traveling

A lot of traveling
So I was trying to figure out how many business miles I traveled in 2007 for my taxes, I had about 14,000 driving miles on my truck and about 15,000 flying miles in my airplane, a total of about 29,000 miles. So I did some research and the earth is about 24,000 miles around at the equator. I traveled as many miles as the world is round, and I never left Arizona. (Not including 2007 trips to Hawaii, Mexico, Utah, Ect..)

Scott & Nate

I finally got my old hard drive fixed. The hard drive had all of my old photos and videos since 1999. I found this picture of Scott and Nathan and our old Dodge Omni. Man that was a sweet car I think we sold it for $500 big ones! Oh by the way they are both available bachelors any takers!!!

Ok so this has been a particularly interesting week. I was hired by a company as a consultant to get a project passed by the County planning and zoning. Anyways the project was quite controversial to say the least. So the county required us to have a public meeting to inform the neighbors, and I hosted the meeting at my office! Wow these people came out of the hills like cockroaches’. The area only has about 10 homes at the most, and about 80 people showed up at the meeting. And let me tell you they were a bunch of psychos. Ok maybe about 5 of them were halfway normal. Because of the large amount of controversy, before the meeting we decided to locate the proposed site to a new location. So I made the announcement to the angry mob! And let me tell you these people were so dang uneducated that they didnt understand and they still wanted to fight. Let’s say the only real impact of the meeting was that these people leaked a crap load of oil from all the cars all over our brand new asphalt parking lot.

So the next day I went to the Town Council meeting to make a statement, informing the people a second time that we would be moving the site to a new location over 14 miles from the cockroaches area, and they were still just bent. LOL. When I was leaving I was mobbed by some jack A and he told me off. LOL.

So anyways it was quite a week so far. The good news is that I sold another house today to a very nice couple! You win some you lose some!
